Ex-boyfriend found guilty in Tallmadge double murders

AKRON, Ohio -- A Summit County Grand Jury found an Akron man guilty of murdering his ex-girlfriend and their 5-year-old son.

In court on Friday, Daniel Tighe, 39, was found guilty on aggravated murder, tampering evidence, domestic violence and abuse of a corpse.

Tighe was charged in the deaths of 31-year-old Wendy Ralston and their son Peyton. Ralston's mother contacted police in August after she visited their home and discovered human remains. Tallmadge police have said the victims apparently were dead 18 days before the bodies were found.

Police arrested him at a residence on Breiding Road in Tallmadge, where he had been living in a camper since the bodies were found.

Tighe is set for sentencing for March 16.
