AKRON, Ohio — AKRON, Ohio -- It was another difficult drive in the Akron area as our crews spotted a school bus stuck in slick conditions for the second day in a row.
It was one of six school buses that got stuck on the roads Thursday morning amid a blast of overnight snow.
While attempts were made to free the bus at Palisades and Lafayette, the roadway was so icy that other vehicles struggled to get traction.
The bus was back on its route shortly after a tow truck and plow arrived at the scene.
This latest incident comes a day after a dozen Akron school buses were stuck in the ice and snow.
Akron officials have since issued an apology for their failure in maintaining road conditions following last weekend’s winter storm.
