AKRON, Ohio — After 28 years, Louie’s Bar & Grille in Akron is preparing to close its doors effective Sunday, Oct. 18.
“We have decided to close the business at this time due to current issues with COVID-19 and the mandated seating capacity,” the restaurant’s owners posted on Facebook this week. “We are very sad that it had to come to an end this way. Should this change, we may consider reopening.”
The post said COVID-19 has COVID-19 has resulted in cuts to their staffing, too.
“We will not be able to change this in our final days. So please be patient with us, wait times may be quite long. We appreciate your business and will do our best to satisfy our customers. We (Khoury family and all employees) are hoping to have fun and enjoy our last days so please allow us to do so!”
They also thanked the community for their support throughout the years.
