AKRON, Ohio — Authorities are investigating the death of a 63-year-old man who was found with an apparent gunshot wound in Akron on Saturday afternoon.
Police responded to the scene around 4:32 p.m. behind an address in the 600 block of Carroll Street after receiving an anonymous call that reported an unresponsive person was found along a walking trail.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as Robert Fey.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday.
Both the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office and the Akron Police Department are investigating.
Police say there are no suspects or witnesses at this time, but anybody with information is asked to call the Akron Police Department Detective Bureau at 330-375-2490. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
