Akron police say one person is dead following a drive-by shooting on the city's southwest side Saturday afternoon.
The incident occurred on the 1300 block of Manchester Road. The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Ralph Hartwell Jr., of Akron.
Officials say a 20-year-old man was seriously injured in the shooting and is said to be "fighting for his life." A 5-year-old girl was also in the car and was hurt, although it is unclear if she was shot.
Authorities say they are looking for a silver Ford Focus with a damaged or missing passenger-side mirror in connection with the crime.
