AKRON, Ohio — One man is dead and another is injured following a shooting at Legends Lounge in Akron on Saturday morning.
Akron police say the shooting happened at around 12:30 a.m. in the 300 block of East South Street.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered a 46-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his head. The victim, who has not yet been identified, was taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center where he died shortly after.
Later on, police learned that a second victim, a 37-year-old man, transported himself to the hospital after sustaining several gunshot wounds during the shooting. The man is believed to have non-life-threatening injuries.
Based on preliminary information, police believe that both victims were shot by an unknown suspect or suspects while outside of the bar.
No arrests have been made at this time, but police are currently looking to identify those responsible for the shooting.
