AKRON, Ohio — A 30-year-old man was rushed into surgery overnight after he was reportedly stabbed in the chest at a party near Brown Street and Lovers Lane, according to the Akron Police Department.
Police say it was around 12:30 a.m. when officers responded to an Akron hospital where the victim was taken with serious injuries. The man remains in critical condition, police said. His name has not been released.
“Investigators are working to determine the exact location of the incident and trying to identify the person or persons involved in the attack,” according to a press release from the Akron Police Department.
