Devon Williams, whom authorities believe shot and killed a man on Akron's south side this past Tuesday morning, has turned himself in.
Police say Williams, 21, came to the police station and was subsequently arrested. He has been charged with murder and illegal carry of a concealed weapon.
The shooting occurred just after 10 a.m. Tuesday on the 1200 block of South Arlington St. The victim—identified as Shawn Prude—was pronounced dead at the scene with gunshot wounds to the neck and torso. Officials names Williams as the suspect one day later.
Williams will be arraigned Saturday at 8 a.m. in Akron Municipal Court.
