The Black Keys fall tour dates appear to be canceled, including Cleveland stop

Ticketmaster lists all dates as canceled, and all but one upcoming show — a NASCAR race — has disappeared from the 'Tour' section of the Akron-formed duo's website.

CLEVELAND — The Black Keys' upcoming North American fall tour, which was scheduled to stop in Cleveland and Columbus, appears to have been canceled.

3News has learned that at least one person who bought tickets to upcoming shows received an email saying the performances were canceled and that ticket-buyers would be refunded. Online ticket seller Ticketmaster lists all of the tour dates as canceled and all but one upcoming show — a NASCAR race — has disappeared from the "Tour" section of the Akron-formed duo's website

Tickets for the tour's Cleveland stop — scheduled for Oct. 12 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse — no longer appear on the venue's ticket merchant, SeatGeek. The website for Madison Square Garden in New York City, which was set for a Black Keys concert on Oct. 30, listed the show as canceled.

Only three concerts remain listed on the rock act's LiveNation page: the NASCAR race, the Cleveland show and a Sept. 21 concert in Houston. Both the Cleveland and Houston listings redirect to webpages that read, "Page not found."

Emails sent by 3News to Ticketmaster and The Black Keys' record label did not receive a response as of the time of publication.

The Black Keys announced the headline tour, the "International Players Tour," in April. The tour was announced in support of their recent album, "Ohio Players," which released on April 5.

First formed in Akron in 2001, The Black Keys consists of Firestone High School alums Dan Auerbach (singer/guitarist) and Patrick Carney (drummer). The rock band is considered one of the most successful of the 21st century, having won six Grammy Awards, including "Best Rock Album" in 2013 for "El Camino."

"Ohio Players" marked The Black Keys' 12th studio album and the duo's first since 2022's "Dropout Boogie." The album received strong reviews, including one from Mojo's Tim Doyle, who gave it four stars and proclaimed the project "the sound of a band rejuvenated," while Stereogum's Chris Deville noted, "The Black Keys are entering another pop crossover phase."
