According to the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, Treitinger was located by members at a house in the 100 block of Doyle Court. As officers were making contact with a female at the home, the Treitinger barricaded himself inside the residence.

Shortly after, the Akron Police Department's SWAT team was called to assist at the home. Moments later, Treitinger surrendered to officers and was arrested without further incident.

Officials say an arrest warrant was issued for Tretinger after they found four guns and various drugs, including cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl, at a home associated with the suspect on July 3.

"Each illegal firearm taken off the streets and out of violent criminal's hands works to ensuring a safer community in the city of Akron and all across northern Ohio," said U.S. Marshal Pete Eliott.

Anybody with information concerning a wanted fugitive can call the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at 1-866-4WANTED.
