Mintes later, Akron police officers responded to the 700 block of Grace Avenue in response to a separate shooting.
Upon their arrival, officers found a 19-year-old Domino’s Pizza delivery driver on the ground with apparent multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers administered emergency first aid until EMS arrived.
The victim was rushed to an Akron hospital where he is listed in serious, but stable condition.
“Investigators believe the victim attempted to deliver food to the location and when he got there, he was met by multiple suspects, who demanded his pizza and vehicle,” police said. “During the confrontation, the victim was shot several times by an unknown subject.”
There are no arrests at this time.
Both incidents remain under investigation.
