Joshua Gurto, the man accused of raping and killing a 1-year-old girl in Conneaut last month, was pleaded not guilty to all charges (including aggravated murder and rape) during his arraignment in the Ashtabula County Court of Common Pleas Friday afternoon.
Gurto's bond was set at $1 million. He is currently being held the Ashtabula County Jail.
Gurto was arrested near Pittsburgh on Oct. 27 following a national manhunt. Authorities claim he raped and murdered 13-month-old Sereniti Jazzlynn-Sky Sutley on Oct. 7. Gurto had been dating Sutley's mother at the time.
The county coroner determined Sutley died from blunt force trauma to the head.
Members of Sutley's family packed the courtroom Friday, with several wearing pink shirts in her honor.
