POLK, Ohio — It has been more than 18 years since Benjamin Brubaker went missing in Ashland County on Halloween back in 2005, and we’ve now learned that authorities conducted searches at two undisclosed properties in Polk connected to the case on Tuesday.

The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office says the two searches were done in conjunction with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and the Ashland Police Department “after receiving several confidential tips into the ongoing investigation” surrounding Brubaker’s disappearance.

“The agencies exhausted the use of technical resources offered by BCI in efforts to follow up on the leads that were given to us,” according to a post on the department's Facebook page.

Brubaker was 30 years old at the time he was last seen on Oct. 31, 2005, according to details from on the Ohio Attorney General’s site.

Described as 5’10” tall and 148 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes, the Ohio Attorney General’s Office also says Brubaker has an Insane Clown Posse logo on his upper left arm. His upper right arm, meanwhile, has a tattoo of the Insane Clown Posse’s jester holding a bird in one hand and a magic wand in the other hand featuring the words “The Great Milenko.” Authorities say Brubaker also has a scar on his back.
