The Cleveland Division of Police is searching for answers today after finding the body of a 20-year-old man on the Towpath Trail Sunday morning.
According to a press release, officers responded to W. 11 Street and Clark Avenue around 10:55 a.m. Sunday to reports of a dead body on the trail. Upon arrival, officers and EMS found the victim near a bench with spent shell casings nearby, but no immediate bullet defects detected.
Officials say that the cause and manner of death are currently under investigation by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Officer.
The Cleveland Division of Police's Homicide Unit was dispatched to the scene, but no suspects have been named. Police also says that as of Monday afternoon, no arrests have been made in connection to the case.
