CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Fire is investigating a blaze that left one person dead and hospitalized 66-year-old man on Thursday afternoon.
Initial reports to 3News indicated that officials responded to a home with multiple units, located in the 9900 block of Denison Avenue, in an effort to rescue multiple people who were trapped inside.
At the scene, officials later confirmed that one person had died and the other victim, a 66-year-old man, was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center with serious injuries.
No additional injuries are being reported at this time.
Community members are being asked to avoid the area. It is unknown at this time what caused the blaze.
