A 29-year-old Massillon man was killed in a motorcycle crash,Saturday, the Ohio State Highway Patrol confirms.
According to reports, Chauncy Townes was traveling eastbound on his white 2007 Suzuki on Hills and Dales Road around 9:53 p.m.
At that same time, 26-year-old Rebekah Owen, driving a silver 2013 Chevy Cruze, was traveling was traveling westbound.
Owen was making a left turn into an apartment complex when she failed to yield for Mr. Townes.
Mr. Townes was ejected from his motorcycle as it overturned and stuck the right side of Ms. Owen's vehicle.
Townes was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He was transported to Mercy Hospital, with life threatening injuries, where he later died.
The accident remain under investigation, but alcohol is believed to be a factor.
