CANTON, Ohio — A Canton woman has been arrested on animal cruelty charges after allegedly torturing, killing and eating a cat.
Canton police arrested 27-year-old Allexis Ferrell of Canton on Friday, Aug. 16, in the 1100 block of 13th Street SE.
Ferrell was charged with the following:
- Prohibitions concerning companion animal
- Cruelty to animals
- Disorderly conduct
According to a Canton police report, "the defendant did torture, kill and eat a cat in a residential area in front [of] multiple people."
During an arraignment hearing on Monday, a bond of $100,000 was set.
