CANTON, Ohio — Three men are in custody after Canton police executed a search warrant on Tuesday evening.
Canton police say that on Oct. 31, at 6 p.m., the Canton Police Department's Special Investigative Unit and the Canton Regional Swat Team executed a search warrant at 1348 Cleveland Avenue Northwest.
During the search, officers recovered one semi-automatic handgun, one semi-automatic rifle, various ammunition and suspected heroin and methamphetamines.
"This warrant service was the result of our ongoing efforts to reduce gun violence in Canton. I am proud of the great work Canton Police Officers do every day," said Canton Police Department Chief John Gabbard.
Canton police say the following individuals were arrested and charged:
21-year-old Tau'zon J. Stewart
- Warrant for Receiving Stolen Property (F4)
- Warrant for Leaving the scene of an accident (M1)
- Warrant for Failure to control Vehicle/Full time attention (MM)
- 2 counts of Having Weapons Under Disability (F3)
- Aggravated Possession of Drugs (F5)
20-year-old Javion Young
- 2 counts of Having Weapons Under Disability (F3)
20-year-old Marvion Williams
- Obstructing Official Business (M2)
