Two suspects wanted in the shooting death of man in Canton last week turned themselves in to police, early Sunday morning.
30-year-old Arsenio C. Smith is being charged with murder, tampering with evidence, and receiving stolen property, while a second suspect—33-year-old Ashley N. Singleton—is being charged with obstructing justice and tampering with evidence.
Authorities say 42-year-old James Nathaniel Howard was involved in an altercation with Smith outside a Sandwith Ave. residence,November 22, around 5:20 p.m., when Smith shot him twice. Howard was taken to Aultman Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The suspects were transported to the Stark County Jail.
