CLEVELAND — Cleveland Clinic President and CEO Tomislav Mihaljevic, M.D. has been recognized as one of Modern Healthcare's list of the 50 Most Influential Clinical Executives.

The annual list recognizes individuals in healthcare "who are deemed by their peers and the senior editors of Modern Healthcare to be paving the way to better health through their executive responsibility, leadership qualities, innovation, community service and achievements inside and outside of their respective organizations" an email from the Clinic's corporate communications office explains.

Dr. Mihaljevic is honored this year for the spirit of collaboration between hospitals and government officials throughout the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

"We all collaborate among each other and lend a helping hand to those who are in need," Dr. Mihaljevic was quoted saying at a White House event in April aimed at getting unused ventilators to hospitals and patients.

This marks the third consecutive year that Dr. Mihaljevic has made the list.
