CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — The Cleveland Heights Police Department is mourning the loss of retired K9, Argos, Tuesday.
Born in Germany, Argos joined the department as a dual purpose patrol K9 in 2012. During his time on the force, Argos made quite the impact. He was able to solve crimes by helping to locate burglary and robbery suspects.
Argos also like to have a good time. He and his partner Jeff were often seen attending walking through business districts and attending block parties and community events.
"While our K9 Officers never get the credit they deserve for all their hard work and endless dedication to protecting their communities, Argos never complained," the department said in a Facebook post." He was always willing to come out on a moment's notice to do the job he loved so much."
