Cleveland Tax March for People, Peace and Planet: Meet People's Needs Not Corporate Greed took place Saturday morning with a rally at the Free Stamp in Willard Park.
In a release, organizers said it was held in response "to the devastatingly harmful budget outlines presented by the Trump administration. The march will also be calling upon President Donald Trump to release his tax returns. The Cleveland march is tied into over 160 April 15 tax day marches being held across the country including six other marches in Ohio."
The march went from the park to the federal building across the street and then on to Cleveland State University.
According to the release, the organizers of the march collected hundreds of letters from participants calling upon our Ohio senators to say how they want their tax dollars spent and how they how want their tax dollars not be used.
The letters will be delivered to the offices of U.S. Sen Rob Portman and U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown on Tuesday.
