CLEVELAND — A woman died and three others were taken to a hospital after a single-car crash in Cleveland Saturday night, police said.
The crash happened in the area of East 120th Street and Superior Avenue at around 8:20 p.m., police said.
An 18-year-old woman, a 20-year-old woman and a 21-year-old woman were transported to a hospital by EMS after the 20-year-old driver lost control and hit a fire hydrant before crashing into a building.
A fourth woman whose age is unknown to police was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police said they do not know how the car lost control and veered off the road but said speed was "suspected to be a factor."
The crash remains under investigation.
