CLEVELAND — Cleveland Police are investigation a shooting outside of a funeral home that left one person dead and two others injured Saturday.
Officials responded to Watson's Funeral Home located in the 10000 block of Superior Avenue, for reports of a male shot in the parking lot around 10 a.m.
Police say two of the three victims were attending a viewing at the funeral home when as they were preparing to leave, another group of males were seen in the parking lot. Ultimately, shots were fired and the group fled the scene on foot.
The victim, identified at 18-year-old Martaevion Josiais Frisco, was transported to University Hospital where emergency surgery was preformed and he was later pronounced dead.
A second victim, a 21-year-old man, suffered a gunshot wound to the hand. He was transported to UH by EMS. The third victim, a 18-year-old man, was the passenger in a car parked nearby. He suffered a gunshot wound to the thigh. He was also transported to UH by EMS.
The suspect is an unidentified black male, however no arrests have been made.
The shooting remains under investigation.
