CLEVELAND — An investigation is underway by Cleveland police after a 13-year-old boy was shot and killed by another child on Sunday.
Cleveland Division of Police officials tell 3News that officers responded to the Union Square Apartments at 3495 East 98th Street in Cleveland around noon.
The boy was rushed to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the victim as Brandon E Cleveland.
The preliminary investigation found that the young teen was shot by another child. However, police did not indicate whether the shooting was an accident, where the gun came from, or whether the other child will be charged.
