CLEVELAND — An investigation is underway after a 16-year-old boy was found dead in Cleveland on Tuesday evening.
Cleveland police say the victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his head at around 6:57 p.m. on the steps of a vacant school at 3055 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
Prior to EMS arriving, officers rendered aid to the victim, who was eventually pronounced dead at the scene. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as 16-year-old Damarion Whitsett.
Police say no arrests have been made in connection to the incident.
Members of the homicide unit responded to the scene for investigation and detectives are continuing to investigate.
