CLEVELAND — The suspect wanted in the Valentine’s Day rape, kidnapping and attempted robbery of a woman in a downtown Cleveland parking garage has been arrested.
Police say a 17-year-old boy wanted in connection with the crime was taken into custody by the Gang Impact and Neighborhood Impact Community Engagement Units Tuesday. The arrest took place in the 2400 block of East 37th Street.
The victim, a 51-year-old woman, reported that she was attacked and sexually assaulted by a man around 7 p.m. at the Gateway District parking garage at 630 Prospect Avenue, across from Quicken Loans Arena.
The woman said the suspect forced her into her vehicle and tried to drive off before crashing and fleeing the scene.
