2 more Cleveland residents die from coronavirus

The city now has 396 confirmed cases of the disease.

CLEVELAND — City of Cleveland officials confirm two more residents have died from the coronavirus.

The latest victims are both women in their 50s and 90s, respectively. The This bring's the city's death toll during the pandemic to 12.

19 more cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Cleveland in the last 24 hours, and the total case load of 396 remains higher than all but five whole counties throughout Ohio. Cuyahoga County currently tops the state with 1,383 reported cases and 48 deaths.

Both Cleveland and Ohio as a whole remain under a state of emergency due to the outbreak. Gov. Mike DeWine has said the state will "slowly" begin restarting its economy on May 1, but details are still being worked out.
