Pride in CLE March to fill the streets of Cleveland on Saturday

The parade begins near Public Square at noon.

CLEVELAND — EDITOR’S NOTE: The video above previously aired on 3News in a special talking about celebrating pride month.

This weekend, the Pride in CLE March will return in person to Cleveland for the first time since 2019.  

The annual parade organized by the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland is held to honor the history that makes Pride unique and to support the LGBTQ+ community while promoting equality for everyone.

WHEN IS THE MARCH?

The Pride in CLE March is set to begin on Saturday, June 4, at noon. Staging will start prior to the parade around 11 a.m. near Public Square and the Cleveland Public Library. 

HOW LONG IS THE MARCH? 

The march is expected to last approximately 20-25 minutes. 

WHERE DOES THE MARCH END? 

At the end of the route, the march will join the festival located at Malls B and C in downtown Cleveland. The Pride in CLE festival will take place from noon until 6 p.m.

HOW CAN I REGISTER? 

If anyone wants to join in the march and has not registered, they can still be a part of the march. On the day of the march, individuals wishing to join can find a Pride staff member or volunteer, and they will place you in the march. 

WHAT IS ALLOWED IN THE MARCH? 

Banners, posters, and handheld signs are allowed in the march and self-propelled bicycles and scooters. 

WHAT ISN’T ALLOWED IN THE MARCH? 

Any motorized vehicle or thrown items such as candy and confetti are not allowed. 

WHAT ARE THE COVID-19 GUIDELINES AND PROTOCOLS? 

March attendees that are unvaccinated are encouraged to wear a mask. Individuals that are feeling unwell should consider the health and safety of the rest of the crowd.
