START OF THE SHOW: U.S. NAVY BLUE ANGELS
The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will headline the 2024 Cleveland National Air Show.
The six "Blues" demonstration pilots will fly the F/A-18 Super Hornets in a one-hour choreographed presentation, which will include aerobatics of the four-plane Diamond Formation and high-energy solo maneuvers.

AIRCRAFT LINEUP
The air show will also host a variety of display aircraft, allowing guests the opportunity to go inside the planes and meet the pilots.
Unique planes include:
- U.S. Navy Blue Angels
- C-130 Super Hercules "Fat Albert"
- U.S. Air Force A-10C Thunderbolt II
- U.S. Marine Corps F-35B Lightning II
- U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III Demo
The 2024 Cleveland National Air Show will be the last air show season for the U.S. Air Force A-10C Thunderbolt II, as the U.S. Air Force prepares for the aircraft's retirement, according to organizers. The A-10 first appeared in Cleveland in 1977 and has performed at the air show 19 times.
This year will also be the first demonstration by the U.S. Marine Corps F-35B Lightning II. The F-35B is replacing the AV-8B Harrier.
"Renowned as one of the most advanced and versatile fighter jets, the F-35B will demonstrate unparalleled maneuverability and showcase cutting-edge airpower," organizers say. "Piloted by aviators from the Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, this aircraft promises an awe-inspiring display that highlights the extraordinary potential of the F-35B."
EVENT HISTORY
“The Cleveland National Air Show has been Northeast Ohio’s Labor Day Weekend Tradition since 1964, attracting 60,000 to 100,000 visitors to Burke Lakefront Airport and making it one of the region’s largest annual events,” organizers say.
The Air Show says it has contributed an annual economic impact of more than $7.1 million within the city of Cleveland.
