CLEVELAND — A 22-year-old man is dead following a shooting in Cleveland's Lee-Miles neighborhood late Monday afternoon.
Police say officers responded to the area near the intersection of Lee Road and Cloverside Avenue and found the victim slumped over inside an SUV that was in a parking lot. He died at the scene, and has since been identified as city resident Curtis Bobbitt.
Witnesses told authorities Bobbitt was shot by an unknown suspect who then sped away in another SUV. Neither the vehicle nor the alleged shooter have been identified.
This was the second shooting that took place in Cleveland Monday afternoon: Around 4:15 p.m., a 21-year-old man was allegedly shot in the stomach and left leg by a family member on the 3000 block of East 125th Street. The victim is currently in serious condition at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, and the suspect was arrested.
