Police seeking 'persons of interest' after shooting injures 3 in Cleveland's Central neighborhood

Police say they are 'following up with three persons of interest' in the case, but no arrests have been made.

CLEVELAND — Three people were taken to the hospital following a shooting in Cleveland's Central neighborhood Wednesday night.

According to police, the incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. within the 2700 block of Cedar Avenue, just outside downtown. "Multiple" individuals are believed to have fired bullets, and two men as well as one woman were transported from the scene via ambulance. All are expected to recover, per officials.

Detectives are currently "following up on three persons of interest," but no arrests have been made. Anyone with information to provide investigators is asked to immediately call the Third District Detective Bureau at (216) 623-5318.
