CLEVELAND — Five new coronavirus-related deaths were reported among Cleveland residents Monday, according to the Cleveland Department of Health. The new fatalities bring the city's death toll to 31.
The fatalities included both men an women ranging in age from their 80's to their 90's.
In addition to the deaths, the department also confirmed an additional 23 cases of COVID-19. The new cases raise the city's total to 598 confirmed cases.
The new cases include men and women ranging in age from their 20's to their 90's.
The Department is working to contact those who may have been in close contact with those recently diagnosed.
As of Monday afternoon, The Ohio Department of Health reports that there are now 16,325 cases of coronavirus in the state. 753 people have died due to COVID-19, 3,232 have been hospitalized.
During Gov. DeWine's press briefing in Columbus, Monday, he revealed plans to began re-opening the state's economy beginning Friday, May 1.
