CLEVELAND — UPDATE: As of 12:24 a.m. on Thursday, the Amber Alert for Royalty Royalle Smith and Khartier Cannon has been canceled by the Cleveland Division of Police.
Authorities say both children were located at MetroHealth Medical Center. Their mother, identified as Laketa Lorine Cannon, was taken into custody.
PREVIOUS STORY: The Cleveland Division of Police has issued an Amber Alert for two abducted girls, ages 2 and 4, on Wednesday evening.
The 2-year-old girl has been identified as Royalty Royalle Smith. She is described as a Black female, 2’0”, 19 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. The 4-year-old girl is identified as Khartier Cannon, described as a Black female, standing 4'0", 35 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Both girls were reportedly taken by their mother, Laketa Lorine Cannon. They were last seen on Wednesday in the area of the 2300 block of East 28th Street in Cleveland. Cannon was driving a Black 2011 Nissan Rogue, with a license plate number of HLT9167.
Cannon is 5’3”, 150 pounds with black hair, and brown eyes. You can see her photo below.
Anyone having information on this abduction is asked to please call the Cleveland Division of Police at 216-623-3075, or dial 911.
