Cornhole championships coming to Cleveland

The American Cornhole League 2020 National Championships will take place at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland.

CLEVELAND — Everybody's favorite back yard game is taking over Northeast Ohio this month.

The 2020 American Cornhole League National Championships will be held in Cleveland on March 13-15 with the top 1,062 players competing for the top title.

All the action goes down at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland.

Admission is free and open to the public with reserved seating for ESPN broadcasts available to buy HERE.

“Events will be held at various skill levels including professional, advanced, competitive and intermediate,” officials said in a press release. Players will participate in the following competitions: Singles, junior or senior doubles, women’s doubles, college doubles, blind draw, crew cup shootout and sit ‘n go blind draws.”

Officials say the event is expected to generate an estimated $800,000 in economic impact to Northeast Ohio.

The schedule is as follows:

  • Friday, March 13: 9 a.m. until 10 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 14: 9 a.m. until 10 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 15: 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
