Cleveland police say missing 8-year-old boy found safe: 'We would like to thank everyone for their efforts in helping bring Antonio home'

The report said Antonio was last seen by his mother playing with friends at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.

CLEVELAND — Authorities were asking for the public’s help Friday morning in finding a missing 8-year-old boy in Cleveland.

Then, approximately two hours later, Cleveland police shared an update that the child had been found. 

"UPDATE: Antonio Moss HAS BEEN LOCATED !!!!! We would like to thank everyone for their efforts in helping bring Antonio home."

Police say Antonio was reported missing by his mother early Friday at 12:30 a.m. He had last been seen playing with friends at Warsaw Park near East 66th Street around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

"Moss was playing at the park with friends and told to come home soon," according to a Facebook post from Cleveland police. "Moss never returned home."
