It may not be his sport, but Baker Mayfield is stepping up to the plate--metaphorically speaking.
The Browns QB will act as the official ambassador at the upcoming Race for Kids event held in Cleveland June 26, benefitting Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio.
The Race for Kids event includes both a 5k and a one-mile fun run, held again this year at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Officials say that COVID-19 safety protocols will be in effect.
For those who don't want to attend an in-person run, the Race for Kids will also offer virtual events!
All race entries include a commemorative tee-shirt, and anyone who purchases a slot before May 31 will be entered into a raffle to win a signed Baker Mayfield Browns jersey.
Spots for the in-person race are limited due to coronavirus restrictions and entries are first-come-first-served.
