Celebrating Dyngus Day in Cleveland

'Over the decades, Dyngus Day has become a wonderful holiday to celebrate Polish-American culture, heritage and traditions.'

CLEVELAND — Dyngus Day is back!

The annual celebration, which comes the day after Easter, takes over Cleveland today in Gordon Square just a block north of Detroit Avenue on West 54th Street.

“Over the decades, Dyngus Day has become a wonderful holiday to celebrate Polish-American culture, heritage and traditions,” organizers said on the Dyngus Day Cleveland site. “In Cleveland specifically, our goal is to not only make this a Polish Cultural festival, we also want to celebrate our Polka Heritage as well as the other Eastern European cultures still thriving in Cleveland.”
