Cirque du Soleil: Corteo coming to Cleveland's Wolstein Center Nov. 22-26

Cirque du Soleil's traveling show, Corteo, is coming to Cleveland this fall.

CLEVELAND — Clevelanders looking to get a taste of Las Vegas entertainment will have the opportunity to do so this fall, when Cirque du Soleil brings its touring show, Corteo, to Cleveland's Wolstein Center from Nov. 22-26, 2023.

Directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca, Corteo first debuted in Montreal in 2005. In the time since, the touring show has been viewed by 10 million spectators in 20 countries on four continents.

The schedule for the five shows in Cleveland is as follows:

  • Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, Nov. 23 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Friday, Nov. 24 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Nov. 25 at 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, Nov. 26 at 1 p.m.

"Corteo, which means cortege in Italian, is a joyous procession, a festive parade imagined by a clown," a release for the show reads. "The show brings together the passion of the actor with the grace and power of the acrobat to plunge the audience into a theatrical world of fun, comedy and spontaneity situated in a mysterious space between heaven and earth.

"The clown pictures his own funeral taking place in a carnival atmosphere, watched over by quietly caring angels. Juxtaposing the large with the small, the ridiculous with the tragic and the magic of perfection with the charm of imperfection, the show highlights the strength and fragility of the clown, as well as his wisdom and kindness, to illustrate the portion of humanity that is within each of us. The music turns lyrical and playful carrying Corteo through a timeless celebration in which illusion teases reality."

Tickets for the shows in Cleveland are now available to Club Cirque members. Those interested can sign up for free subscriptions at clubcirque.com.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Monday, March 20 at cirquedusoleil.com/corteo.
