CLEVELAND — Cirque du Soleil is coming to Cleveland this summer with CRYSTAL – the first acrobatic performance on ice.
“This one-of-a-kind performance blends circus art and the world of ice skating,” officials tell 3News. “As one of Cirque du Soleil’s most groundbreaking shows, CRYSTAL takes audiences on a journey into a whimsical frozen playground where circus art and the world of ice skating intersect with acrobatics and aerial feats.”
The show takes over Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse for the following five performances:
- Friday, July 15: 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday, July 16: at 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
- Sunday, July 17: 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Tickets go on sale to the general public starting at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 2. Prices start at $62.
“We are absolutely thrilled to finally bring CRYSTAL back on the road,” says Mike Newquist, President, Cirque du Soleil Touring Shows Division. “For two years our performers have been waiting to skate again and experience the joy of the live audience once more. It will be an emotional and magical return. We can’t wait to share CRYSTAL’s energy and vibrancy during our return to Cleveland after four years!”
So what can you expect from CRYSTAL? Here’s more about the show as described by Cirque du Soleil:
Created by Shana Carroll and Sebastien Soldevila, CRYSTAL, our misfit lead character, takes you on an exhilarating tale of self-discovery as she dives into a world of her own imagination. Feel the adrenaline as she soars through this surreal world to become what she was always destined to be: confident, curious, and creative.
