City of Cleveland no longer pursuing Superior Avenue property for new police headquarters

The City of Cleveland is no longer pursuing a new location for the police headquarters.

The City of Cleveland is no longer pursuing a new location for the police headquarters.

In June it was announced that the Cleveland Division of Police would move into the former Cleveland Plain Dealer headquarters.

In a letter released Monday, the city stated that it "no longer desires to purchase 1801 Superior Avenue property."

The space was selected from 24 others and was slated to house the headquarters in addition to several other tenants and community spaces.
