CLEVELAND -- The city of Cleveland on Wednesday released details on a new three-year capital improvement plan, which includes various road improvement projects and plans for a new police headquarters building.
According to a news release issued by the city, $46 million has been allocated to fund capital projects, separated into three groups: major road and bridge projects, recreation projects and major facility and safety.
The release says $24 million will be preserved for road and bridge projects, while $15.8 million will go toward recreation and $5.4 million will be used for major facility and safety allocations.
Twelve million wil be used for street resurfacing projects and $8 million will buy new vehicles, such as police cars and snow plows.
The city also announced two projects included in the capital improvement plan with independent bond funding sources, including LED streetlights and relocation of the Cleveland Police Department headquarters, a $55 million project.
