The alleged crimes took place within 24 hours of each other. No suspects have been named at this time.

CLEVELAND — Police are investigating after two Cleveland men were killed in separate shooting incidents within 24 hours of each other.

The first death took place some time early Thursday morning, when a friend told officers he went to visit 39-year-old Joron Crawford at his East 68th Street home and found Crawford dead in a bedroom with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers arrived at the scene at roughly 3:45 a.m.

Later, just after 1:15 a.m. Friday, authorities responded to a house on the 10900 block of Grandview Avenue for a report of shots fired. They later learned that people had come outside from a party at the location after hearing separate gunfire when someone else shot off a weapon, striking the victim. He later died at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and has since been identified as 24-year-old Daquan D. Dix, and witnesses believe he himself may have also fired a gunshot at some point.

Detectives are still looking into both of these cases, and no suspects have been named at this time. Anyone with information on either homicide is asked to immediately call the Cleveland Division of Police at (216) 623-5464 or Crime Stoppers of Cuyahoga County at (216) 252-7463. Cash rewards of up to $5,000 may be available in connection with each matter.
