CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Police is investigating two separate shootings that left one man dead and a teen hurt.
The first shooting happened just after 11 p.m. in the 7800 block of Woodland Avenue, where Cleveland EMS said they transported a 22-year-old man to University Hospitals for a gunshot wound. The man, whose identity is not yet known, was pronounced dead at the hospital, police, said. Homicide detectives are investigating. No further details were provided.
The second shooting happened overnight in the area of West 140th and Sherry Avenue. Cleveland police said a 15-year-old male was shot in the upper leg. EMS said they took him to MetroHealth Medical Center, where his condition is unknown. That shooting is under investigation, and no other details were immediately available.
