CLEVELAND — Chick-fil-A restaurants in the Cleveland area are coming together to host a “Cookies for Kids” fundraiser from Nov. 1 through Nov. 30.
The second annual event is to support Coats for Kids Cleveland. For each individual and six pack of Chocolate Chunk Cookies sold during the fundraiser, participating restaurants will donate all proceeds to Coats for Kids Cleveland, providing winter coats to children in need in Northeast Ohio.
“We are proud to give back to this incredible organization as they help keep children warm during the winter season,” said Tony Alexander, local restaurant Operator of Chick-fil-A Willoughby Commons. “We hope to see our neighbors come out and support this meaningful cause together.”
Last year's fundraiser brought in more than $40,000 for Coats for Kids.
"Coats for Kids is dedicated to keeping children in need warm, with the mission to distribute new or like-new coats to children throughout northeast Ohio. Each year, the organization collects donations and works closely with public school districts in five northeast Ohio counties to give coats to students whose family incomes are below poverty level," a news release said.
