Toledo and Cincinnati also made the list.

Local residents will have no excuse if they can’t find a fun way to celebrate Father’s Day with their dads and loved ones this year -- at least according to one jewelry company that recently named Cleveland as the best U.S. city to celebrate the holiday.

The Colorado-based Shane Company conducted a study based on numerous factors including steakhouses, breweries and golf courses per 100,000 residents as well as the average price of such experiences. It divided its criteria into categories based on common “dad-approved” activities like sporting events, menswear and warehouse shopping and fishing trails, with the 216 taking top honors in the “Steakhouse Dinner” and “Father’s Day Gifts” categories.

Shane Company said Cleveland “shatters records” in its dad-approved offerings, ranking highest in steakhouses (10), breweries (34), and hardware stores (19) per 100,000 residents.

“It’s no wonder dads could spend countless hours wandering this city,” the company’s report read. “Cleveland, Ohio, is the top city to spoil your dad with gifts while stopping at one of their mouthwatering Michelin star restaurants.”

Shane Company based their findings on sources like Yelp and Yellow Pages, as well as poring through available data from organizations such as the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Trust for Public Lands. It averaged all assembled data over multiple categories into an aggregate “City Score.” Cleveland’s City Score of 77.7 was the clear winner, with the 2nd overall city, Fort Wayne, Ind., clocking in at a distant 64.

Clevelanders can also claim bragging rights over the rest of the state, as Cleveland was the only city in Ohio with a city score ranked in the top 10 of the company’s list. Toledo and Cincinnati came in at 12th and 16th, respectively. The nearest top-10 city to Cleveland, sitting 194 miles down I-90, was 10th-place Buffalo, N.Y.
