CLEVELAND — Attention basketball fans: the wait is officially over.
On Thursday, the Cleveland Cavaliers announced their 2024-25 NBA regular season schedule.
The season tips off on Wednesday, October 23 on the road against Toronto at 7:30 p.m., followed by the home opener at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Friday, October 25 versus Detroit at 7:30 p.m.
This season, the Cavaliers are set to make 16 national television appearances on TNT, ESPN and NBA TV. This includes:
- 4 games on TNT (Nov. 19 at BOS, Jan. 14 at IND, Feb. 25 at ORL, April 10 at IND)
- 4 games on ESPN (Nov. 1 vs. ORL, Feb. 21 vs. NYK, Feb. 28 at BOS, March 5 vs. MIA )
- 8 games on NBA TV (Nov. 4 vs. MIL, Nov. 9 vs. BKN, Nov. 29 at ATL, Dec. 5 vs. DEN, Dec. 20 vs. MIL, Jan. 27 vs. DET, March 2 vs. POR and April 11 at NYK)
The Cavaliers are scheduled to play 82 regular season games, including 21 weekend home dates with six Friday games, three Saturday games and 12 Sunday games.
The Cavs will also compete in the newly rebranded Emirates NBA Cup in-season tournament, playing four games in East Group C before the top four teams in each conference advance to the knockout rounds in December. Cleveland's group stage dates are:
- Nov. 15 vs. Chicago
- Nov. 19 at Boston
- Nov. 29 at Atlanta
- Dec. 3 vs. Washington
