Cleveland and Columbus restaurants pledge to not show 2024 Olympics following 'insulting' opening ceremony

The following restaurants released a joint statement on Tuesday: TownHall, REBoL, Green Goat, Mandrake.

CLEVELAND — Four Cleveland and Columbus restaurants owned by businessman and restauranteur Bobby George released a joint statement through social media Tuesday pledging to not show the 2024 Olympics.

The four restaurants include TownHall, REBoL, Green Goat and Mandrake.

In the statement, the restaurants cited the Olympics' opening ceremony as "insulting" to the Christian faith.

"We will not tolerate any form of discrimination or desecration," the post read. "Therefore, we will not be broadcasting the Olympic games at any of our restaurants."
