CLEVELAND — Cleveland fire crews responded to a blaze at a storage facility near Grayton and Brookpark roads, not far from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport on Thursday morning.
A Cleveland International Airport spokesperson told 3News that one runway had to be closed due to the fire, but has since re-opened. Aside from the closure, the airport remained fully operational.
Cleveland fire shared an update on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the fire was accidental, saying that "someone working with a torch caught stored clothing on fire. Companies applying foam to smother deep seated fire in piles of contents."
In total, 14 storage units were involved.
