CLEVELAND — A firefighter was injured while battling a house fire, according to the Cleveland Fire Department.
Cleveland fire crews responded to reports of a fire on the 1900 block of Forestdale Avenue on Wednesday morning. When they arrived to the scene, they found a fire in the second floor bedroom and attic of the house.
While attempting to put out the fire from within the structure, one of the firefighters suffered burns to their wrists.
According to a post on the Cleveland Fire Department's X account (formerly Twitter), the fire caused $65k worth of damage. Firefighters deemed the start of the fire to be "accidental/unintentional."
No other injuries were reported. The residents of the house were not home at the time of the fire.
